Three musical experiments are performed with the PATCHULATOR 8000 MINI PATCHBAY, sharing and swapping several effects between the Korg Monologue analog mono synth and Teenage Engineering PO-12 Pocket Operator drum machine.

In the first of a three-patch series, we are seen and heard making some hard techno with sounds modulated by control voltages, patched from the CV sources into the expression jacks of guitar effects pedals.

In the second of a two-patch series, we continue making some electronic weirdness with sounds modulated by control voltages, patched from the CV sources into the expression jacks of guitar effects pedals. GEAR USED: Patchulator 8000, Arturia Microbrute, Teenage Engineering PO-12, Moog Minifooger MF Ring, MF Drive, MF Delay, MF Boost, Electro-harmonix 8-Step, Two Bored Brains

A series of musical experiments is performed with the PATCHULATOR 8000 MINI PATCHBAY to route audio and control voltage modulation signals between two semi-modular synthesizers, a drum synth pad, an analog step sequencer, and two analog effects pedals with CV inputs.

A series of musical experiments is performed with the PATCHULATOR 8000 MINI PATCHBAY to share and swap the order of six different effects pedals between an electric guitar and drum sampler. By simply patching the mini cables, the order of effects and signal flow for each instrument is easily rerouted, creating a range of unique sonic specimens.

A mini patchbay from outer space, the Patchulator 8000, makes an unprecedented landing on an earthly pedalboard, interconnects itself to such terrestrial effects, and begins patching and intercepting signals for an unlimited number of sonic possibilities that are out of this world.

Experimenting with a semi modular synthesizer and FX by routing audio and control voltage through the Patchulator 8000 for quick and flexible modulation.

A quick unboxing of the Patchulator 8000 showing what to expect when you receive yours!

In this quick example, three different effects are patched into the SuperEgo's fx loop using the Patchulator 8000, making experimentation easy.

It's insane how many different patch permutations the Patchulator 8000 can add to your pedalboard! Whether it's a simple 1-2 patch, or a more complex 6-1-4-8-3-7 patch, the possibilities are almost never-ending. Cool note: In this video, every possible patch combination scrolls across the screen once.

Having been heavily influenced as teenagers by the progressive electronic sounds of Orbital, we really wanted to pay homage to the band and their style, with our own interpretation of a classic, The Box. We focused on altering the arrangement and instrumentation to merge the song with our own performance and production style. The video is comprised of footage from the recording process, with some additional artistic visual content alluding to the original theme of Orbital's music video.

Our rendition features of a mix of electronic and stringed instruments including analog synths, electric banjo, electric guitar and bass, electronic drums, percussion, and drum machine. We record and mix on our console using an array of analog filters, compressors, and fun effects.
